Louis Domingue Earns Shootout Win Against Montreal
7 years agoTampa Bay Lightning goaltender Louis Domingue earned his fifth win of the season in a 3-2 shootout win over the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday. Domingue made 27 saves in the match and stopped three of the four shots he faced during the shootout. The 26-year-old netminder was acquired by Tampa from Arizona earlier in the season and has been a steady No. 2 behind Andrei Vasilevskiy, winning five of the seven matches he’s started since becoming a Bolt. Domingue will start at least two more games before the end of the regular season, with the potential for more playing time, as Tampa has a firm hold on first place in the Atlantic division and will probably rest Vasilevskiy in preparation for a playoff run. Keep an eye open for more starts from Domingue in the coming weeks and be ready to add him to your roster if his starts fit your playoff schedule.
