Logan Thomas May Have Avoided A Torn ACL
Logan Thomas' (knee) MRI exam came back better than they had hoped on Monday. Thomas has some damage in his knee and more tests are coming, but Rivera said that the MRI showed that Thomas didn't tear his ACL. More tests will confirm if that's in fact the case, but it sounds as though Thomas could potentially return this season. The 30-year-old suffered a hamstring injury in Week 4 that landed him on Injured Reserve, and he had just returned to action in Week 12. Thomas had three catches for 48 yards and his third touchdown of the year in the Week 13 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, so he deserves holding until we know more. Rookie John Bates figures to see a much larger role if Thomas misses any more time. Ricky Seals-Jones (hip) missed his third straight game Sunday.
