The Detroit Lions' defense was in tatters by the end of the 2024 season, allowing at least 31 points in four out of the team's final six games, including the postseason. Detroit is much healthier coming into 2025 and welcomes back star defensive end Aidan Hutchinson, who is full-go after missing most of 2024 with a broken tibia and fibula. The Lions have a tough matchup in Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers, who finished eighth in the NFL in scoring and fifth in total yardage last season. Green Bay also finished 2024 with the 11th-fewest turnovers in the league, although they did cough it up twice in two games against the Lions. Detroit also has a new defensive play-caller this year with Kelvin Sheppard taking over for the departed Aaron Glenn, which could lead to an early-season adjustment period. The Lions D/ST profiles outside the top 12 in Week 1 and should be avoided in fantasy if possible.--Will BradyRead More News
