Leonard Fournette "Extremely Frustrated" With His Role
2 years agoA report from CBS Sports during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Week 9 game against the Los Angeles Rams indicated that running back Leonard Fournette was "extremely frustrated" for being held out of a drive late in the first half. Fournette finished with only 19 yards on nine carries, while rookie Rachaad White had five carries for 18 yards on that drive when Fournette was held out. White consoled Fournette afterward, telling him "we need you." Lenny had 1,266 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2021, but he has struggled to produce this year for an offense that ranks last in rushing (60.7 yards per game). Since going for 127 yards on 21 carries in Week 1, Fournette has averaged 2.8 yards per attempt with two rushing TDs. The 27-year-old has been held under 25 rushing yards in three straight games, but he's staying relevant in PPR leagues.
