Latavius Murray A Low-End RB3/Flex Against Raiders
2 years agoDenver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon III remains the team's "starter," but Latavius Murray continues to see his fair share of the backfield work. In his four games with Denver since Javonte Williams (knee) was lost for the season, Murray has seen 46 carries for 160 yards and two touchdowns, adding seven receptions on nine targets for 33 yards. In that same time frame, Gordon has seen 30 carries for 94 yards and a TD, adding nine catches (14 targets) for 86 yards. Murray will be facing a Raiders defense that is allowing the sixth-most fantasy points per game to RBs in half-point PPR scoring, but this Broncos backfield timeshare is tough to trust in the lowest-scoring offense in the NFL. The 32-year-old will have to find the end zone to justify a starting lineup spot as a low-end, touchdown-dependent RB3/flex.
