Kutter Crawford Expected to Start Rehab Assignment
Kutter Crawford (knee) is expected to begin a rehab assignment this coming week. Crawford threw live batting practice on Saturday and did not face any setbacks after the session. The 29-year-old hit the injured list with right patellar tendinopathy on March 27. He was later shifted to the 60-day injured list. Given the time he has missed, fantasy managers should expect Crawford to participate in a lengthy rehab assignment. Last season, Crawford logged 183 2/3 innings to the tune of a 4.36 ERA and a 1.12 WHIP. During this stretch, he struck out 175 batters and allowed walks at a strong 6.7% rate. When Crawford is cleared to return, fantasy managers should expect to compete for a role in the starting rotation.
