Stewart-Haas Racing's Kevin Harvick finished in the seventh position in Saturday night's Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond Raceway. Harvick started from the pole and led the first 20 laps of the race, but struggled for his standards and fell back a few positions. Harvick then compounded his struggles with a pit road commitment line violation. The penalty hampered Harvick's chances to win the race, as the No. 4 team were the only ones to try a two-stop strategy, that looked to be the correct move, at that point in the race. The lost track position, combined with the final stage going green to the finish, took Harvick out of the running to contend for a win. Harvick would end up finishing the night leading 41 laps.--John Pitucci - RotoBaller
