Kevin Cash Raving About Austin Meadows
4 years agoTampa Bay Rays manager Kevin Cash continues to rave about outfielder Austin Meadows and how he looks really good after dropping weight in the offseason. Meadows played in only 36 games last year while dealing with COVID-19 and a Grade 2 oblique strain, but the 25-year-old broke out in his last full season in 2019 and could return to that level in 2021 if he returns to better health. His strikeout rate was really high at 32.9 percent and he hit just .205 (.143 against left-handers). Fantasy managers shouldn't automatically expect him to repeat his slash line of .291/.364/.558 with 33 home runs, 89 RBI and 12 steals in 2019, but Meadows is worth buying as a No. 3 fantasy outfield with bounce-back potential at his current 95 ADP.
