Ketel Marte Out Again on Wednesday
Ketel Marte (illness) is sitting out a second straight game due to an illness for Wednesday's series finale against the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates at Chase Field. Jordan Lawlar will make another start at second base and will hit eighth against Pirates right-hander Paul Skenes. Marte is dealing with flu-like symptoms and will sit out again. With a scheduled off day for travel on Thursday, the 31-year-old All-Star's next chance to play will be in Friday's series opener versus the Washington Nationals. Marte should be back at some point this weekend in the desert. Lawlar got his call to the big leagues for the first time since 2023 recently, but he's gone hitless in his first 18 plate appearances over seven games with two walks and eight strikeouts. DFS gamers will want to avoid Lawlar against the powerful Skenes.
