Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Kendall Graveman was called up from Triple-A Friday and pitched better than anyone could have expected in a 10-5 win against the Yankees. Graveman picked up his first win of the season by scattering three hits across six innings and only allowing four runs, one earned. He also walked two and struck out four batters. This performance improves his ERA slightly to a still unappealing 7.60. Graveman is currently not assigned to a next start. It will depend on whether Trevor Cahill can return from the DL. Despite tonight’s start, Graveman is a risky start against any opponent.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
