Kansas City Royals relief pitcher Justin Grimm was having a pretty nice season early on, but then it all fell apart as he allowed 16 earned runs over the course of just 2 2/3 innings. Following the meltdowns, he was sent to the disabled list with back stiffness. Three weeks later, Grimm is on the verge of heading to Triple-A Omaha for a rehab assignment. It’s unclear if Grimm’s struggles were actually injury related or if he was simply placed on the disabled list to give him time to clear his head, but he has potential to be a decent setup man for the Royals. If he can come back and pitch well, he could have value in Holds leagues.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
