Texas Rangers shortstop Jurickson Profar has been coming on a little stronger lately with his bat, despite an 0-4 performance against Rick Porcello and the Boston Red Sox. The game brought his season line to .233/.337/.369, which of course is nothing spectacular. But Profar has quietly been taking better and longer at-bats, making better contact, lifting the ball off of the bat, and getting to his power in a way that he hadn't all season. Over the last seven days, Profar has hit .259/.333/.556 with an ISO of .296 and 40% of his contact being measured as hard. Of his seven hits this week, five have gone for extra bases. The Rangers will continue to run Profar out at shortstop while Elvis Andrus recovers, and he may be worth a speculative add if you're looking shallow at middle infield.--Sean Scampton
