Julio Rodriguez Smashes Huge Grand Slam Against the White Sox
Julio Rodriguez had the biggest hit of the game in his team's 5-1 victory over the White Sox in Chicago. He hit his eighth homer of the year in the eighth inning with the bases loaded off White Sox left-handed relief pitcher Cam Booser. Rodriguez's blast opened up a 5-0 lead and proved to be the difference in the game after the Sox scored a run in the ninth. Rodriguez is still hitting only .235 on the season with a .319 wOBA and five stolen bases. He has hit safely in 11 of his last 12 games, though, with a .314 batting average, .363 wOBA, and 41.9% hard-hit rate over that span. While his stolen base production has been a disappointment this season, Rodriguez is still a key contributor for Seattle and brings a high ceiling with plenty of power potential on a nightly basis.
