Jose Altuve Runs Saturday
6 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve (hamstring, knee) ran the bases vigorously on Saturday. Altuve should be getting close to going on a rehab assignment and could return to the team soon from the injured list. The 29-year-old All-Star was hitting .243/.329/.472 with nine home runs, 21 runs, 21 RBI and one steal in 144 at-bats before his injury. The power has been nice from Altuve, but his fantasy owners were hoping he'd be running a lot more after a down 2018 season. His lower-body injuries don't inspire confidence that he'll be running upon his return to the lineup. Houston could really use Altuve back, as they're also without center fielder George Springer and shortstop Carlos Correa.
