Toronto Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas is closing in on his return to action, having been upgraded to questionable for Thursday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks due to a thumb injury that has kept him out since Dec. 12. Valanciunas’ status is still certainly up in the air, but for those owners who have been waiting to snag him off the wire, it appears now is that time with an arrival not too far off. The big man has delivered 12.8 points and 7.2 rebounds in just 18.8 minutes per contest, coming primarily off the bench. Should he remain with the franchise past Thursday’s Trade Deadline, check in for a further update on his playing status against Atlanta.--Jesse Borek
