7 years agoToronto Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas was the most impressive player on his team on Thursday, picking up an easy double-double in his 24 minutes of action. Valanciunas scored a team-high 18 points against the Knicks, going 7-for-11 from the field, while draining two of his three attempts from downtown. Not only that, he dished out two assists and was a factor on defense with his two steals and one block. JV is quickly becoming a real threat from beyond the arc and opposing centers are being forced to respect his shot now. Look for Valanciunas to bait Dwight Howard to the perimeter in their next one on Sunday in Charlotte.--Matthew Thomas
