4 years agoLos Angeles Rams backup quarterback John Wolford is likely to be the starter in Week 17 against the Cardinals after Jared Goff (thumb) suffered a potentially season-ending broken and dislocated thumb in the Week 16 loss to the Seahawks. Goff is waiting to see how his thumb is after the swelling goes down, but either way he's unlikely to face Arizona next weekend despite being adamant about trying to play through it. Goff will need surgery to repair the finger eventually after he reset his thumb on the field. Wolford is the former AAF passing touchdown leader, but he hasn't taken a snap in the NFL and will likely struggle against an Arizona team that is trying to get into the postseason. You'll probably want to avoid anyone in LA's offense next week if you're still playing for a fantasy title, while the Cardinals Defense will be a must-start.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
