John Klingberg Shows Off Playmaking Skills
4 years agoDallas Stars defenseman John Klingberg doubled his postseason point total with three assists on Sunday as the Stars claimed an overtime victory. Klingberg picked up the primary assist on two of Joe Pavelski's goals and the game-winning goal from Alexander Radulov. Klingberg now trails only fellow blueliner Miro Heiskanen in postseason points for Dallas. While Heiskanen has seen just over a minute of ice time per game more than Klingberg so far in the postseason, Klingberg is getting more opportunities on the power-play. Neither rearguard is making much of those opportunities though as Klingberg and Heiskanen have one and two power-play points respectively despite Dallas having 26 power-play opportunities through seven games. Klingberg's big game comes with plenty of excitement, but do not get swept up in one game from a defenseman who posted the lowest points per game rate of his career (0.55 points per game) this season.
