John Brown Activated From IR, Goes On COVID-19 List
4 years agoThe Buffalo Bills activated wide receiver John Brown (ankle) from Injured Reserve on Monday, but he's now going on the Reserve/COVID-19 list and won't be active for the Week 16 game against the division-rival Patriots. The Bills also placed safety Josh Thomas and running back Christian Wade on the COVID-19 list as high-risk close contacts. Brown hasn't played since Week 10, but he could return for the Week 17 season finale against the Dolphins in order to knock off some rust before the playoffs start the following week. Rookie wideout Gabriel Davis has benefitted the most in Buffalo's passing attack with Brown sidelined, as he's been working as the No. 3 receiver behind Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley. Davis has clear WR3/flex appeal on Monday night, especially with the Patriots missing All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore.
