Joey Bosa Clears Concussion Protocol
3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa (head) cleared the league's concussion protocol during the Week 13 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, but head coach Brandon Staley said he decided to keep Bosa out of the game because of his extensive concussion history. "As long as I'm the head coach here," Staley said, "I'm going to be making decisions like that in the best interest of our players." The 26-year-old also had two concussions last season. While Bosa will have to get through a full week of practice, this news bodes well for his chances of being active in Week 14 against the New York Giants. With the Giants potentially having to turn to Jake Fromm at quarterback, Bosa and the Chargers defense will be licking their chops.
