Joel Embiid Ruled Out Tuesday Against Boston
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) was not on the injury report and looked to be on track to play on Tuesday, but he was then ruled out on Tuesday afternoon. Somewhat alarmingly, it wasn't Embiid's left knee that was the issue for Tuesday, but his right knee. The big man was expected to return after sitting out Sunday's game, which was the second game of a back-to-back. He was coming off a season-high 29 points on Saturday and was starting to look healthy. Now that his other knee is also an issue, his overall health becomes even more of a concern long-term. He is being evaluated by team doctors, and the team will issue an update once they have a clearer picture of his availability going forward. His next chance to return would be Friday in Detroit, but until he's ready, Andre Drummond and Adem Bona will continue to carry more work for the surging Sixers.
