Jo Adell Can Bounce Back From Rough 2020 Debut
4 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Jo Adell had a really bad debut in 2020 (.161/.212/.266 in 132 plate appearances), but he isn't the first young prospect (21 years old) to struggle in their first taste of major league action. Despite his disappointing debut, Adell had a 115.5 mph maximum exit velocity last year, which was one of the highest maximum exit velocities of any player in 2020, and he was one of just 15 players to hit a ball in the air at over 115 mph. The others included the likes of Giancarlo Stanton, Pete Alonso, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Matt Chapman, George Springer and Manny Machado. The Angels want to give the 21-year-old more time to develop in the minors to start the 2021 season, but he should be back up at some point and is worth the stash in deep mixed leagues for his overall upside.
