5 years agoThe New York Jets placed linebacker C.J. Mosley (groin) on season-ending Injured Reserve on Tuesday, according to a source. In a corresponding move, the Jets claimed defensive back Bennett Jackson off waivers from the Ravens. A big free-agent acquisition for Gang Green this year, Mosley wound up only playing in two games, accumulating nine total tackles, a fumble recovery and an interception. His absence in the middle of the Jets Defense has been a huge loss for the Jets all season and has contributed to their defense being dominated more weeks than not. With All-Pro safety Jamal Adams week-to-week with an injury of his own, New York's defense is limping to the finish line.
