Jets Activate Jamison Crowder From COVID-19 List
3 years agoThe New York Jets activated wide receiver Jamison Crowder from the COVID-19 list on Thursday. After missing the Week 1 season-opening loss to the Carolina Panthers, both Crowder and Keelan Cole (knee) could return to face the New England Patriots in Week 2. Their likely return is bad news for rookie Elijah Moore and Braxton Berrios, as well as former second-rounder Denzel Mims. Crowder could become a valuable safety blanket for rookie quarterback Zach Wilson underneath, but given his recent absence, it's hard to trust the 28-year-old veteran in starting fantasy lineups. Corey Davis, the team's unquestioned No. 1 wideout, is the only absolute lock for lineups this weekend. In 12 games (seven starts) in 2020, Crowder managed 59 receptions for 699 yards and six touchdowns for Gang Green.
