Jermar Jefferson Held Out Of Practice
3 years agoDetroit Lions rookie running back Jermar Jefferson (ankle, knee) was not able to get on the practice field on Wednesday after he was injured in the Week 10 tie with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jefferson is unlikely to suit up this weekend against the Cleveland Browns, which would leave Godwin Igwebuike as D'Andre Swift's backup if Jamaal Williams (thigh) misses his third straight game. Jefferson, a 21-year-old seventh-rounder, carried the ball only three times last Sunday for 41 yards, but he was able to find the end zone for the first time in his career. He's been buried on the depth chart all season long and has played only 14 total offensive snaps in three games. Jefferson is strictly a dynasty stash.
