6 years agoSeattle Mariners shortstop Jean Segura is not in the lineup for Friday's tilt against the A's. The Mariners will be without their best hitter again as Segura is dealing with a bone bruise in his left shin. With the team fighting to stay in the playoff chase, it is unclear how long the All-Star will be sidelined. Infielder/outfielder Dee Gordon will play shortstop Friday and the hope is Segura can avoid a trip to the disabled list. Segura this season is slashing .317/.348/.439 with three triples, nine home runs, 28 doubles, 58 RBI and 81 runs scored.--Joey C - RotoBaller
