Jayden Reed Leads Team In Targets, Scores Rushing Touchdown
1 year agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed caught eight of 10 targets for 27 yards and carried the ball four times for 38 yards and a touchdown during the team's 22-24 loss to the New York Giants. After seeing just five targets last week, the rookie led the Packers in targets in Week 15 but was unable to do anything with them after the catch. The absence of Christian Watson (hamstring) was felt in this game as the Giant's defense keyed in on all Packers receivers and was able to stop the team from having the explosive plays that have made them so successful over the past month. With that said, Green Bay did whatever they could to get the ball into Reed's hands, leading to a 16-yard rushing touchdown at the end of the first quarter. Moving forward, the 23-year-old is the clear top fantasy wideout for the Packers until Watson returns. Reed will be a fringe WR2 next week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
