Jasson Dominguez Hitting Leadoff Against Angels
Jasson Dominguez is starting in left field and hitting out of the leadoff spot for Game 2 of the series in the Bronx against the visiting Los Angeles Angels and right-hander Kyle Hendricks. Dominguez returns to the lineup after sitting out in Monday's series opener, and he'll be batting higher than fifth in the order for the first time all year. Now that Giancarlo Stanton is back in action, the 22-year-old could find himself on the bench more often. The Dominican switch-hitter has put up modest numbers so far in his first full season with the Yankees, slashing .236/.324/.385 with six long balls, 26 RBI, 29 runs scored and nine stolen bases in 195 at-bats. The Martian has been cold in the month of June, too, going 7-for-35 (.200) with a double, two RBI and two steals in 10 games. He has never faced Hendricks.
