JaMycal Hasty Has A High Ankle Sprain
3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back JaMycal Hasty (ankle) will be out "a while" with a high ankle sprain, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. High ankle sprains can keep athletes out anywhere from four to six weeks, so Hasty probably won't be back anytime soon. Rookies Elijah Mitchell (shoulder) is day-to-day and Trey Sermon is in the concussion protocol. Jeff Wilson Jr. is still injured and lead back Raheem Mostert is done for the year. That leaves fourth-stringer Trenton Cannon as the only healthy back heading into Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers. Hasty, who is only owned in six percent of Yahoo leagues, played 35.7 percent of the snaps in Week 2 against the Eagles, carrying the ball only five times for 38 yards and catching four of his five targets for 21 yards. It's anyone's guess as to what this backfield will look like this week given all of San Fran's injuries at the position, but Hasty surely won't be out there.
