James O'Shaughnessy Dealing With High Ankle Sprain
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars tight end James O'Shaughnessy (ankle) suffered a high ankle sprain in the Week 2 loss to the Denver Broncos, according to head coach Urban Meyer. High ankle sprains can keep players out anywhere from four to six weeks, so O'Shaughnessy is definitely going to miss some time for the Jaguars. The 29-year-old had been operating as the team's top pass-catching tight end, and he caught six of his eight targets for 48 yards in the season-opening loss to the Houston Texans. O'Shaughnessy caught only one pass for 26 yards before getting hurt on Sunday. Some combination of Chris Manhertz and rookie Luke Farrell should see more playing time as a result, but they won't be seriously considered as fantasy replacements.
