Jake Oettinger Shuts Out Seattle In 30th Win
9 months agoDallas Stars goaltender Jake Oettinger posted his 30th win of the campaign in style on Saturday, registering a shutout in a 3-0 road win over Seattle. He needed to make only 17 saves to get his second shutout of the season. Oettinger has become the first Stars netminder with three consecutive 30-win seasons since Marty Turco had a six-year run at the beginning of the century. The 25-year-old is on a five-game winning streak, which has taken his record to 30-13-4. Oettinger's goals-against average has dropped to 2.87 this season, and he has a less-than-impressive .900 save percentage, but Dallas' No. 1 has been a consistent source of wins for fantasy managers. He will attempt to continue his current winning run in a tough matchup against Connor McDavid and the Oilers on Wednesday.
