Jake Odorizzi Staying With Twins
5 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Jake Odorizzi accepted the team's one-year, $17.8 million qualifying offer on Thursday, according to sources. Barring a contract extension, the right-hander will be a free agent after the 2020 season. Odorizzi had one of his best seasons in the bigs last year, going 15-7 with a 3.51 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and career-high 10.1 K/9 in 159 innings over 30 starts. He'll be a solid middle-of-the-rotation fantasy starter once again in 2020, and staying in the pitcher-friendly confines of Target Field is probably the best thing for his fantasy value for another year.
