Jake Arrieta Lasts Five Innings Vs Yankees
Jake Arrieta allowed three runs in five innings pitched at the Yankees on Monday. Arrieta allowed seven hits and struck out four without issuing a walk. Considering the matchup, this was an encouraging start for Arrieta in his season-debut, since the Phillies didn't play last week in the wake of the Marlins' COVID-19 outbreak. Despite the promising start, Arrieta isn't worth chasing in fantasy just yet. He averaged less than seven K/9 each of the last two seasons and had a FIP near five last year. His value should be limited to deeper-leagues when he has a good matchup, which he won't see in his next start vs the Braves on Saturday.
