Jacoby Brissett Leads Near Comeback In Relief
12 months agoWashington Commanders quarterback Jacoby Brissett completed 10 of 13 passes for 100 yards and a touchdown along with one carry for 10 yards during Sunday's loss to the New York Jets. Although he entered the game late in the third quarter, Brissett ended up outplaying starting quarterback Sam Howell. Washington's offense was a train wreck during most of the game, but the journeyman quarterback brought them back from the grave by leading three straight scoring drives after he entered. The Commanders ended up losing on a late Jets field goal, but Brissett's impact on this offense can't go unnoticed. If Washington's end goal is to win games, they need to give him the keys in Week 17.
