Jack Flaherty Shuts Down Giants in Victory
Jack Flaherty (3-6) shut out the Giants over six innings on Tuesday to pick up his third victory of the season. Flaherty yielded a mere two hits (both singles) and racked up eight strikeouts against one walk during the 3-1 win. It was the best outing of 2025 for Flaherty, who has gotten back on track since a rocky three-start stretch from April 28-May 10. In three starts since then, Flaherty has combined for 18 1/3 innings of five-run ball with 10 hits allowed and 22:5 K:BB. The 29-year-old owns a respectable 3.94 ERA with a lofty 72 punchouts and just 19 walks through 59 1/3 frames this season. He has a favorable matchup against the Chicago White Sox next Monday.
