Is Noah Gragson A Value Play This Weekend In DFS?
8 months agoNoah Gragson qualified 36th for Sunday's Geico 500 at Talladega Superspeedway in what will be just his fourth Cup start at the famed track. While his three previous Cup starts here have been largely disappointing, averaging 23.7 for his finishing position, his Xfinity results are much more impressive. In his eight Xfinity starts, the Stewart-Haas Racing star has a win (spring 2022), three top-fives (37% of starts), six top-10s (75% of starts), and an average finish of 9.7. This type of consistency, on a track known for its inconsistency, cannot be ignored. Although one may criticize the 20.60 DraftKings score that the 25-year-old driver is averaging in the Next Gen car at this venue, it's worth noting that this score is higher than what elite-level drivers like Christopher Bell (20.16), Martin Truex (19.33), Brad Keselowski (17.55), Kyle Larson (16.10), Tyler Reddick (6.74), and Joey Logano (-1.43) are averaging on this same track in this car. Given that he has had success at this track in Xfinity, that his starting position provides place differential upside, and that his salary is just $6,800 on DraftKings, the No. 10 looks like a viable value play in DFS this weekend.
