Irv Smith Jr. Ruled Out For Monday Night
4 years agoMinnesota Vikings tight end Irv Smith Jr. (groin) missed practice all week and has been ruled out for Monday night's game against the Bears. Smith has a bright future, but he just hasn't seen enough volume to be a fantasy relevant tight end for fantasy managers, although he did catch his first two touchdowns of the season in the Week 9 win over the Lions. In eight games in 2020, Smith has only 13 receptions for 159 yards and the two scores. Kyle Rudolph will be in line for some extra looks this Monday against Chicago, but like Smith, he hasn't been on the fantasy map yet this season. Chicago has been a bit vulnerable to tight ends, though, allowing the ninth-most fantasy points per game to the position, including six touchdowns. Rudolph will be a low-end TE2 dart throw.
