Injuries Continue To Hamper Tommy Pham
4 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Tommy Pham was limited to just 31 games in the shortened 2020 season due to a left hamate fracture in his hand. The career .277/.373/.472 (126 OPS+) hitter batted just .211/.312/.312 (74 OPS+) when on the field in his first season with the Padres. But Pham walked and struck out as much as usual and had a career-high 50.0 percent hard-hit rate. But only one player (Scott Kingery) had a larger gap between his expected wOBA and actual wOBA (65 points). Entering his age-33 season, Pham had averaged around 22 home runs and 22 steals with a .284 batting average in three seasons prior to 2020. If healthy, which is a big question mark for Pham, his patience and power could lead to another 20-20 season in 2021. He's a sleeper at his 127 ADP in a loaded Padres lineup.
