Initial Scans Return Negative For Tua Tagovailoa, Set For MRI
2 years agoInitial Scans returned negative for Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (head, neck), and he is scheduled for an MRI on Friday. According to Josina Anderson of CBS Sports, Tua traveled back with the team in a neck brace, and all initial scans were negative; nothing was broken. The 24-year-old stayed down after being slammed to the ground on a sack during the second quarter. He was stretchered off the field and ruled out the rest of Thursday's game against the Bengals. Tagovailoa suffered a concussion and nothing "more serious," per Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel. Tagovailoa's health is the team's top priority, and it is unclear how much time the former first-round pick will miss. Teddy Bridgewater will start in Week 5 against the New York Jets if Tua isn't medically cleared. Stay tuned for more updates.
