New York Islanders goaltender Ilya Sorokin allowed two goals and made 35 saves in Monday's 2-1 loss against the Hurricanes in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference first-round series. Sorokin was perfect at even-strength as he stopped 31 of 31 shots, but a pair of power-play goals by Hurricanes forwards Sebastian Aho and Stefan Noesen made the difference in the low-scoring contest. The only goal of the game from the Islanders was scored by defenseman Ryan Pulock, who cut the deficit to one goal late in the second period. Sorokin and the Islanders will try to even the series in Game 2 on Wednesday night.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
