5 years agoCarolina Panthers tight end Ian Thomas will step in as the replacement for Greg Olsen after the team mutually parted ways with the veteran. The former Indiana tight end was selected in the fourth round of the 2018 draft. Thomas caught 36 passes for 333 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie when Olsen missed seven games with a foot injury, and he stands at an imposing 6-foot-4 and 260 pounds. If the Panthers give quarterback Cam Newton a chance to prove himself in the final year of his deal in 2020, Thomas could definitely be in the TE1 conversation in fantasy given the lack of depth at the position across the league.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
