Ian Kennedy Locks Down 21st Save
Ian Kennedy has been quite the surprise this season, but he continues to do his job and shut down the ninth inning. Kennedy nailed down his 21st save of the season with a scoreless frame against the Mets on Friday. It was a bit exciting, as he allowed two hits and a walk before recording the final out, but he also had a three-run lead to work with and who doesn't like an exciting closer? Kennedy has now thrown seven straight scoreless innings, and his strikeout rate still sits north of 10.5 K/9. It looks like the conversion is complete, and Kennedy's career has been salvaged.
