Golden Knights Acquire Jonathan Quick
2 years agoThe Vegas Golden Knights have acquired goaltender Jonathan Quick from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for goaltender Michael Hutchinson and a seventh-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft. Quick was sent from the Kings to the Blue Jackets in the deal that brought defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov and goaltender Joonas Korpisalo to Los Angeles, and it was reported that the Blue Jackets would send him to a contending team. Quick has had a challenging season as a result of his .876 save percentage and 3.50 goals against average to go along with a record of 11-13-4, while being outplayed by goaltender Phoenix Copley. With the trade to the Golden Knights, Quick will compete with Adin Hill for playing time, while starting goaltender Logan Thompson (lower body) remains week-to-week.
