Giovani Bernard May Only Miss One Game
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers running back Giovani Bernard (knee) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday after missing the Week 4 win over the New England Patriots due to a minor MCL sprain. If he doesn't suffer a setback this week, there's a chance he may wind up missing only one game. The Bucs were forced to the air more than usual in their Week 3 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, and Bernard saw a big workload. He caught nine of 10 targets for 51 yards and his first touchdown of the season while playing a season-high 45 percent of the offensive snaps. Bernard doesn't have a single carry in three games this year, though, and he'll need Tampa to be trailing to typically see enough playing time to make a dent in fantasy in PPR leagues. His return to the field in Week 5 against the Miami Dolphins would hurt Leonard Fournette's ceiling after he saw five targets last week.
