German Marquez Supports His Own Cause
6 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher German Marquez didn't have a very difficult time locking down a win on Wednesday as Colorado's offense put up a ludicrous amount of runs, but he still wanted to make sure he did his part. So not only did Marquez throw six solid innings for a quality start, but he also helped out with the bat by hammering a home run off David Descalso, Arizona's position player/surprise reliever. Marquez has been rolling recently as he's thrown three straight quality starts, but he's also been the epitome of a Colorado starter that should only be started on the road. Marquez's road ERA is 2.62 while his home ERA is 7.31 this season.
