George Springer Out for Game 1 of Doubleheader
George Springer (head) is not in the starting lineup for Game 1 of a doubleheader on Tuesday against the division-rival Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards. Davis Schneider is serving as the designated hitter and will bat second against Orioles right-hander Charlie Morton. Springer was hit in the head by a pitch in Monday's series opener and was pulled from the game. It's unclear if the 35-year-old is in the league's concussion protocol or if he'll be available for the second game of the double dip, so fantasy managers will need to check back for an update soon. Toronto can ill-afford to lose Springer for an extended period of time, as he's been one of their best spark plugs on offense in a resurgent 2025 season, slashing .291/.383/.506 with an .889 OPS, 18 home runs, 57 RBI, 66 runs and 12 stolen bases in 344 at-bats.
