Geno Smith To Start In Week 16 If He's Healthy
12 months agoSeattle Seahawks backup quarterback Drew Lock led the team to a 20-17 upset win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night, but head coach Pete Carroll confirmed that Geno Smith (groin) will start on Sunday in Week 16 against the Tennessee Titans as long as he's healthy. "Yeah," Carroll said. "Geno's our starter." Smith missed the Week 14 loss to the San Francisco 49ers and was questionable to play on Monday. He looked good in pre-game warmups before Monday's game, but Carroll decided to roll with Lock in fear that Smith would have a setback with his groin if he played. If the 33-year-old looks good in practices this week and doesn't have any setbacks with his groin, he should make the start against Tennessee and be a high-end QB2 play for fantasy managers.
