Geno Smith Set To Practice Thursday
1 year agoSeattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said that quarterback Geno Smith (groin) "feels really good" and is set to practice on Thursday. The Seahawks will take it day to day this week, but the hope is that Smith can play in Week 15 against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night after he was inactive for last week's loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Smith has an extra day this week to rest up and appears to be on track to return, although he may not be a lock to start until Monday if he's listed as questionable on the final injury report. The 33-year-old had a strong game in his last game played in Week 13 against the Dallas Cowboys, but that momentum was halted by missing last week. If he does play, Smith will have a favorable matchup as a QB2 against the Eagles pass defense, as they've surrendered the most fantasy points per game (22.0) to the QB position all year. UPDATE: Smith was limited in practice Thursday.
