Gabe Davis A Risky Boom-Or-Bust WR Against Dolphins
3 months agoJacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Gabe Davis could benefit from a change of scenery. The former Buffalo Bill constantly flashed upside with his big play ability, especially after a huge four-touchdown game in the playoffs against the Kansas City Chiefs. Davis was only 53rd in PPR fantasy points per game with 9.2, a disappointing number given he had five games of 20+ points. That's the Gabe Davis experience in a nutshell for fantasy managers, unfortunately. The weeks you start him, he is a dud. The weeks you don't start him, he is a stud. Davis could easily have one of his boom games in a plus Week 1 matchup against former division rival Miami. However, it's hard to trust Davis in Week 1. Another thing worth noting is that last season, Davis scored 15.1 PPR fantasy points in a Week 4 matchup against Miami, while he put up a goose egg against the Dolphins in Week 18. Davis is the ultimate boom-or-bust player and is mainly a flex option (RotoBaller's WR55) in deep-league formats for Week 1.
