Fernando Tatis Jr. Unlikely To Play On Upcoming Road Trip
6 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. (hamstring) is unlikely to play on the team's upcoming road trip, according to manager Andy Green. The Padres are heading out to Toronto and then New York to face the Yankees. The 20-year-old top prospect has been out since April 28 but could return soon after the road trip. He was hitting a nice .300/.360/.550 with six home runs, 13 RBI and six stolen bases before his injury. The upside is crazy good and Tatis needs to be stashed in all formats. Manny Machado will shift back to the hot corner and Ty France, who has struggled, will likely be sent back to the minors when Tatis is ready to come back.
